Logic VII: Introducing Formal Logic
Welcome to the Logic VII page. In Logic VII, the students begin their explorations into the study of Formal Logic (in Logic VI they study Informal Logic). We are using Classical Academic Press' Discovery of Deduction.
Formal Logic is Deductive logic, while Informal is Inductive. In Logic VII, students will learn the basics of the relationships between terms and statements. They will learn and construct syllogisms, and have a grasp of the relationship between categorical statements (A, E, I, O) using the Square of Opposition and the relationships of equivalence, and more!
Below, you will find links to various online helps, as well as printed helps. I have also attached various and sundry worksheets so that the students can access them at any time from home if they desire. Enjoy!
